Cisneros also rallies with Parkland students at UC Irvine
Buena Park, Calif. – On the second day of Gil Cisneros’ Get Out The Vote (GOTV) effort, nearly 450 people showed up and knocked on more than 18,000 doors on Sunday, November 4th, covering the entire 39th District. Overall, the weekend brought over 1,000 volunteers who knocked on nearly 40,000 doors. Mark Gonzalez, Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, Rick Zbur, Executive Director of Equality California, and Chelsea Handler attended today’s rally. Cisneros also attended a rally with Matt Deitsch, Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg, and Delaney Tarr from Parkland and spoke to hundreds of students. Hundreds of additional supporters are expected to step up for the Cisneros campaign through election day.
“All across the district hundreds of people spent their weekend fighting for a change in Washington and throwing their support behind Gil Cisneros,” said Nic Jordan, Campaign Manager for the Gil Cisneros for Congress campaign. “The people of the 39th District don’t want more of the same, and they know that’s what they’ll get with Young Kim. She’s not the moderate she claims to be, case in point is her record in the California Assembly working against families and marginalized communities. The people of the 39th are ready for change and they’re backing Gil.”
